Send the bag brief - type, target price, market, colour reference. Within 12 hours you get two or three fabric builds (body, base, lining, mesh) with cost tiers, then lab dips in 3 days and swatches by courier. The approved standard is sealed so season two matches season one.

Problems we solve

Six fabric failures and the specification that prevents each

Most bag defects are fabric decisions made too early or too late. Each card links to the guide with the numbers.

Shade drift between orders

Problem: Season-two bags do not match season one on the shelf.

Fix: Sealed lab dip, every roll checked in a D65 cabinet to shade band A/B, one dye lot held for a programme when tolerance is tight.

Coating cracks in winter

Problem: PVC-backed bags arrive in Northern Europe stiff and cracking at the folds.

Fix: PU or TPU for EU and cold markets; cold-flex test at -10 C on pre-production; PVC reserved for warm-climate work bags.

Colour fades in the Gulf

Problem: Dark backpacks bleach after one desert summer.

Fix: Light-fastness grade 5+ dyes (ISO 105-B02), solution-dyed nylon for tactical, samples conditioned at 50 C before approval.

Wrong denier for the bag

Problem: Over-specified fabric adds cost; under-specified fabric fails at base corners.

Fix: Fabric matched to end use before quoting: 600D school, 900D-1680D business and travel, 1000D nylon tactical, canvas lifestyle.

"Recycled" with no proof

Problem: Retailer compliance rejects RPET claims without a certificate chain.

Fix: GRS transaction certificate per order reconciled to roll lot numbers; OEKO-TEX and REACH reports on request.

Sweat and mildew in the tropics

Problem: Back panels soak, linings smell, cotton mildews in humid warehouses.

Fix: 5-8 mm air mesh over EVA on every contact surface, PU-coated 210D oxford lining, anti-mildew treatment on canvas.

Where your fabric comes from and what happens to it

We do not own looms. We specify, source and test through audited mills in Hebei, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Guangdong, then hold stock and inspect in Baigou.

    Yarn and weaving

    Polyester and nylon filament from Zhejiang and Jiangsu spinners is woven on air-jet and water-jet looms at audited mills. We specify denier, yarn count, picks per inch and weave, and hold the greige spec on file so re-orders match.

    Dyeing and finishing

    Disperse dyeing for polyester, acid dyeing for nylon, reactive for cotton. High-temperature jet vessels, lab dips sealed before bulk, light-fastness and rubbing-fastness targets written into the dye order for the destination market.

    Coating and lamination

    PU, PVC, TPU and silicone coatings applied on knife-over-roll and lamination lines. Coating weight, hydrostatic head and cold-flex are specified per order; PVC-free and solvent-free options for EU retail.

    Inspection and testing

    Every roll crosses the inspection frame: weight, shade in a D65 cabinet, crockmeter, coating adhesion, defects per 100 m under the 4-point system. Pre-production samples add hydrostatic head, Martindale and tensile.

A bag brief in, two or three fabric builds out - denier, coating, lining, mesh, webbing - with cost tiers. Free, within 12 hours.

Colour matching

Pantone TCX lab dips in 3 days, sealed standard, D65 approval, cross-component matching of webbing, binding and zipper tape.

Custom coating and finishing

PU 1x-3x, PVC, TPU lamination, silicone, DWR (C0 PFC-free), anti-UV, anti-mildew, flame retardant, antibacterial on mesh.

Custom printing

Rotary screen and sublimation on polyester and oxford from 500 m; repeat-logo lining prints; camouflage and pattern development.

Testing and certification

Six roll tests in-house; SGS / BV / Intertek for REACH, CPSIA, Prop 65, NIR; GRS and OEKO-TEX certificate management.

Stock and call-off programmes

Reserved dyed fabric or held greige for running programmes so re-orders skip the dye cycle.

Consolidation and shipping

Packing: rolls polybagged and labelled (article, colour, lot, shade, metres), bundled or palletised and stretch-wrapped. Document pack: commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, roll test report, GRS TC and third-party reports where applicable. Shipping insurance recommended at 0.3-0.5% of value on sea freight.
