Why a bag factory sells fabric

Baigou, in Hebei province ninety minutes south of Beijing, is the largest bag-manufacturing cluster in northern China: thousands of workshops, hundreds of factories and a supply chain of fabric mills, hardware makers and printers within an hour's drive. The Senszx group has run a bag factory here since 2006 - today 10,000 m2, 100 sewing lines, an in-house cutting room and export to more than 100 countries.

For the first years we bought fabric the way most bag factories do: from traders, on price, by the sample. The failures arrived by container. 600D that weighed 40 gsm less than the sample. PVC that cracked in a Scandinavian January. Black nylon bleached grey after one Gulf summer. "Recycled" polyester with no certificate a retailer would accept. Each one cost more than a decade of fabric discounts.

So we built our own fabric desk: sourcing engineers who specify greige, dye and coating with the mills directly; an inspection lab with a GSM cutter, D65 cabinet, crockmeter, hydrostatic head tester, Martindale and tensile testers; a stock programme so samples cut in days, not weeks; a sealed-standard file for every article so re-orders match. By 2024 that desk was handling more fabric than our own lines could sew, and other factories and brands were asking to buy from it.

Senszx Fabrics is that desk, opened to the industry.

What we are - and are not

We are not a mill. We do not own looms or dye vessels. We specify, source and test through audited mills in Hebei, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Guangdong, and we take responsibility for what ships.

We are not a trader. Traders sell what the mill has. We write the specification - denier, weave, gsm, coating weight, hydrostatic head, fastness grades - and reject rolls that miss it. Our own cutting room is the first customer of every roll.

We are a bag factory's fabric department. The person quoting your fabric has seen that fabric sewn, inspected and shipped as a bag, and knows where it fails.

Two ways to work with us

• Fabric only. Rolls by the metre with spec sheet and test reports, shipped to your factory anywhere in the world. Stock in 3-5 days, dyed lots in 15-20.
• Fabric to finished bag. The same roll goes next door to Senszx OEM & ODM bag manufacturing: MOQ 100 pieces, free sample in 3-5 days, bulk in 20 days, 100% final inspection. One spec, one QC chain, one shipment.

Certifications and audits

The group factory is BSCI audited and certified to ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment) and ISO 45001 (health and safety). Fabrics ship with GRS transaction certificates for recycled polyester, and OEKO-TEX Standard 100, REACH, CPSIA and Prop 65 test reports on request through SGS, BV or Intertek.
